Cincinnati indie rockers Wussy are veterans of blending pop melodies with layers of noise who has seen critical praise from such sources as Rolling Stone, SPIN, NPR, Christgau’s Consumer Guide, New York Times, Village Voice, Washington Post, Pop Matters and Uncut. Ancient Warfare, a rising and promising Lexington all-female trio featuring Echo Wilcox, Emily Hagihara and Rachel Yarnarella, seem to draw from similar cues and influences.
