The tadoo Lounge Sessions are a monthly free, all ages, “Happy Hour” style social event at the Smiley Pete headquarters, taking place on select Thursday evenings. The events feature live performance, local food trucks and libations, as well as billiards, pinball, local vendors, and surprises.
Emily Hagihara has played with the likes of Chico Fellini, Jim James and Ben Sollee. Locally, she plays drums in the angular rock trio Ancient Warfare, as well as for the all-female cover group The Binders. Click here to read our profile on Hagihara, published last year in Chevy Chaser Magazine!
Palisades are a Lexington pop/punk trio based around the songs of guitarist Scott Whiddon.
Preceding this month’s tadoo lounge session, from 4:30-6 p.m., kids ages 4-14 are invited to come to the tadoo lounge for a free, family-friendly art project where participants will learn to make origami hearts. Each heart will then be used to make one big origami heart on display in the window of the Smiley Pete offices.
The “Kids’ Art 4 Heart” is an ongoing origami community public art project across central Kentucky.
