Colleen Toutant

Colleen Toutant’s repurposed quilts and textiles call into question the ways in which globalization and social media have altered our methods for forming personal and communal identities. By reconfiguring utilitarian objects, she highlights how technology and shifting gender roles have impacted material culture in the United States, and further complicates what is considered “fine art” and what is considered “craft.” Through December 5th. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wed. – Sat. (and by appointment).
