This month’s guitar night will feature Julia Knight, Tim Fowler, Luke Jackson, and Chris Weiss.
Julia Knight is a young singer-songwriter of unusual skill and is a regular at Natasha’s. Whether she’s playing indie, rock, or country, Julia causes her audiences to smile, laugh, sing, and occasionally cry as she performs from her long list of original songs and covers ranging from Ingrid Michaelson to Elvis. 2012 has been a big year for Julia, beginning with the release of her CD “Just Live”, and winning over seven awards for songwriting and performing.
Tim Fowler is a fingerstyle guitarist spanning many styles. Schooled in jazz and classical guitar, seasoned in folk and contemporary. But one thing you can be sure of: he’ll be pushing the sonic palette with a variety of open tunings. All of this comes together for a series of intriguing tales on the guitar.
Luke Jackson is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist that has wowed audiences with his mix of folk, jazz, classical, and rock influences into one guitar performance. He performs a variety of music, from original compositions, covers from some of the world’s greatest guitarists, and arrangements of popular music.
Chris Weiss is an acoustic guitarist and vocalist. His finger-style guitar arrangements captivate your ears and stretch the barriers of style. His performances prove that style is a state of flux, not a set parameter. Chris’s live shows will leave you wondering how so much is possible on so few strings.
